Client: Manas Resources
Site: Shambesai Gold Prospect
Project Duration: 2004-Present
Project Summary:
- Structural geology of the region
- Structural evaluation of oriented geotechnical boreholes
- Construction and interpretation of structural sections and maps
- Correlation of boreholes with structural cross sections
- 3D sub-surface geological modelling of fault systems using Gemcom software
Manas Resources Limited (ASX – MSR) is an Australian-based gold explorer in the Kyrgyz Republic with substantial resources, high-grade drill targets and a large highly-prospective land holding in the world class Tien Shan gold belt.
The company has a resource base of 1.18 million ounces of gold at the Shambesai and Obdilla gold projects which continue to grow through aggressive and continuous exploration.
As well as understanding the geological evolution of the deposit it is also necessary to develop a structural model for the surrounding region. The Shambesai gold deposit is structurally controlled and occurs within an asymmetric anticline/syncline fold pair with northerly vergence. The structure is offset by transfer faults.
